Latest Updates from Our Project:

Duck Trolls and Wandering Wizards
1 day ago – Wed, Feb 26, 2020 at 08:41:03 PM

Greetings Adventurers!

Not all who wander are lost... Buffalorick is flying courier class to the UK as I write this. Somehow he missed the last box of greens. I suspect he was busy battling trolls! He will go straight into production when he arrives at Macrocosm and will be a mighty legion of heavy metal wizards in no time at all.

Speaking of trolls... the Drolls (duck trolls) look amazing! Chris Taylor at Lancaster Casting has captured every glorious detail of my original sculpt in silicon and produced a high quality resin army of Drolls!

More Flooding in Tewkesbury
8 days ago – Thu, Feb 20, 2020 at 02:09:24 AM

Greetings Adventurers!

As those of you in the UK will know, Storm Dennis has brought flooding to Twekesbury. The same rapid flooding that happened last October has left Chris and his family at Macrocosm surrounded by water. Fields are lakes and streets are rivers. Mercifully, the Macrocosm workshop is still dry, although hundreds of homes in the area are submerged and transport is severely affected.

So... please expect some delay due to this. Chris thinks the flooding has peaked - the water hasn't shifted but there has been a "break in the weather" and he's not expecting the property to get flooded - and he hopes "to have a metal and mould delivery today and staff in tomorrow..."

Stay tuned for the next update!

DuckQuest Online Forum
10 days ago – Tue, Feb 18, 2020 at 02:12:10 AM

Greetings Adventurers!

After a request for an online forum other than Facebook, I have set up one here: http://duckquest.freeforums.net/  - It's new and fresh without much furniture yet, so make yourself at home and bring your ideas. The aim of this forum is to share the development of DuckQuest with YOU, and for discussing roleplaying games. I hope to see you there. 😊

In other news, Chris and James have been hard at work, spinning metal and pumping out Dizzy Rascal on the boom box!

Macrocosm Pro-duck-tion!

Please let me know if you have any questions about your pledge or address details, as by the end of the week your box may already be packed...

Game on!

Hammer of the Ducks!
11 days ago – Mon, Feb 17, 2020 at 02:11:54 AM

Greetings Adventurers!

I have had confirmation from Chris at Macrocosm that all the production moulds are done, spin casting is underway and we will see boxes of ducks flying out the workshop doors over the next couple of weeks. Unless you are at the far edges of the map, you can expect your ducks by the end of February 2020.

There was a recent issue with a mushroom having a cracked head but the main delay proved to be a couple of other Kickstarter projects ahead in the queue, trying to beat the Brexit rush. Despite the pressure, Chris has done a fabulous job of keeping everything in order. All is now on track for a speedy delivery and I appreciate your patience.

As for Brexit, the effect it may have on customs fees are delayed until December 2020. So if you're in the EU, you don't need to be concerned about a new UK customs fee on your ducks. To be honest, nobody knows exactly how everything will work from December. However, it won't be an issue for DuckQuest.

DuckQuest Fantasy Roleplay

Speaking of DuckQuest, my initial promise to you was a new range of characters for your games.  In the heat of the Kickstarter campaign, I upgraded that promise to include a set of rules! What was I thinking?! Anyone who has designed their own game system will know this is a mammoth undertaking. Devoting my hobby-time to creating a game for you has been a challenge. One that is ongoing. As a lifelong hobbyist gamer, I must say it's also been highly enjoyable!

Duckhammer!

I have been writing and drawing, reading through old White Dwarf and Dragon magazines, and doing my best to avoid creating a rule book that looks like so many of the hefty RPG tomes on my bookshelf. So I am excited to say you will be getting DuckQuest Fantasy Roleplay, even though it's going to be a beta set, or a Quackstart set of rules. This will enable the rules to grow through play testing with this community. This is still likely to take months of work. You can join in the discussion here: https://www.facebook.com/duckquest/ or contact me directly to offer support, guidance or just say a friendly hello.

Note: The artwork above draws it's inspiration from a famous piece by British fantasy and science fiction illustrator, John Blanche. No mallards or grognards were injured during this parody/tribute.

Enjoy your gaming!

Gary Hunt Launches Beestwars!
about 1 month ago – Mon, Jan 27, 2020 at 11:38:06 AM

Greetings Adventurers!

Gary Hunt is launching Beestwars on Kickstarter Today. This is a Quickstarter MAKE 100 project, so you'll have to get in early!

BeastWars: Hyenaman Gnoll Vs. Clovis Wilderbeest.

I know there are a lot of Gnoll and Minotaur fans out there that will be whooping and lowing for these minis. As you know, Gary is a world class sculptor. This is his first Kickstarter, so let's show him some support!

Blessings,

Darcy Perry
